The Germany captain, who missed his country's last game, a 2-0 international friendly win over Belgium, with the injury, will join up with the squad as planned on Tuesday, but it remains to be seen whether he will be fit for the qualifiers. He told the Sun: "We didn't win the title, we were very close but in the end we lost. And the Champions League final, everybody was disappointed about this.
"But we have to look forward to the next season. We have a good squad and another chance to win four titles.
"I am happy and I am prepared for this season, now everything is fine and I am looking forward to playing next season."In Germany we always said the biggest thing to win is the league title because it is a competition for the whole season, so we are looking for this title and also the Champions League.

An article from Sky Sports about an interview for Chelsea official site (im posting it tomorrow here as well). He talks about feeling fully fit to start the Premier League campaign against Portsmouth.
"It is harder to work on your own at first but now I am with the team and have some extra sessions of my own with the fitness coach," "In England you have no winter break so this (the summer) is the rest for the whole season. You need this. "I hope the body can make a quick recovery, but the new fitness is not a problem because if you are one week early or late it is not so important, and there is little difference by the start of the season."
